In the heart of Alto Minho, a destination is born that truly celebrates art, wine, and Portuguese heritage. The new Vila Galé Collection Ponte de Lima Vineyards is set on the majestic estate of the former Paço do Curutelo, in Ponte de Lima — a building with nearly nine centuries of history, classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1977.
Set within a 57-hectare estate, the hotel pays tribute to sculpture and art in all its forms. With 69 rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a Satsanga Spa, NEP Kids Club, children’s playground, an elegant chapel, library, museum area and a modern events hall with a capacity for 350 people, every corner invites guests to discover and unwind.
The gastronomic offer includes a buffet restaurant and the ever-delicious Massa Fina. But it’s in its deep connection to the land that this project gains even more soul: the property includes its own vineyards and a state-of-the-art winery, where the Paço do Curutelo wine is produced. Open to the public for tours and tastings, the winery represents an additional investment of €3.4 million, through the company Xvinus, owned by the Vila Galé and Madre groups, with the capacity to produce over 200,000 bottles per year.
Close to the historic centre of Ponte de Lima, surrounded by stunning scenery where green landscapes reign and traditions remain alive, Vila Galé Collection Ponte de Lima Vineyards is much more than a hotel — it’s an invitation to experience the authenticity of Minho, through art, wine, and history.
